Many people ask what the difference is between Flip Cup and Flippy Cup, the answer to that is nothing.  They are the same game but will have a different name based on location.  People in the midwest call it flippy cup, where as other people through out the country might refer to it as Flip Cup.  This is similar to the beer pong / beirut drinking game, depending on where you are people have their own name for it.

This is a regular phenomennon for beer drinking games I think that the only drinking game that is universal is Asshole.  Everyone calls it by that name even though there are different rules that apply depending on your location.  So call it what you want Flip Cup, taps, cups, turbo, flippy cup its all the same game.
